cosentino winery

Cosentino Winery, Napa Valley, was established in 1990 when Mitch Cosentino moved his winery operation from Modesto, California to its current location on Highway 29 in Yountville, California. Lead by Mitch Cosentino’s vision and innovative winemaking approach, Cosentino Winery established itself long ago as a trend setter in the California wine industry, widely recognized for producing more ultra premium varietals than any other winery in the Napa Valley as well as pioneering production methods and wine blends that are now standards in the industry. Cosentino Winery produces approximately 12,000 cases of wine per year, handcrafted from the wineries’ Yountville and Pope Valley Estates as well as from many of the same “Estate” grape sources that Mitch has maintained throughout the Napa Valley for nearly 20 years. Cosentino Winery’s stellar vineyard sources and relationships are a major factor in sustaining its quality and consistency. Over the years, Cosentino Winery has been awarded the highest honors and praise, served at many prestigious events, including a Presidential White House State Dinner, the Masters Golf Champions Dinner, as well as various functions and events for Governors, Senators and Heads of State, such as Queen Elizabeth and the Prime Minister of Italy. Perhaps it’s no coincidence that Cosentino Winery is the first winery located on the St. Helena Highway (Hwy 29) when entering the Napa Valley from the south. Cosentino Winery sits on the border of Yountville and the Oakville appellation, one of the most prestigious AVA’s in the world that is home to some of the Napa Valley’s greatest vineyards. Since its doors opened in 1990, Cosentino Winery’s Tasting Room on Hwy 29 has been a popular stop, attracting a myriad of visitors, regular visitors, regulars, locals, connoisseurs, experts, so called experts, lovers, dreamers, enthusiasts, drifters, groupies, buyers and beginners alike…Everyone is welcome! Cosentino Winery produces more than 30 different varietals, continuing Mitch Cosentino’s artisan approach and passion for making great and interesting wines. “I don't eat just one type of food… so why should I make just one type of wine?” – Mitch Cosentino. The Cosentino Winery experience is unlike any other. Cosentino Winery continues to evolve, constantly creating new wines and discovering new ways to remain among the best in the world. Enjoy and Stay Tuned!
