In 1996, at an age when most people are thinking of retiring, the 3 Canepa sisters, -Glida, Edda and Antonieta-, responding to the passion for the production of fine wines which has been part of their family's life since the 1930's, decided to link their well established vineyard holdings to a state-of-the-art, brand new winery founding TerraMater. The name TerraMater tells us a lot about the company itself. This is a company which was born from exceptional land with vineyards full of noble grape varieties and well established vines of 40, 50 and 60 years old which can quite easily be found on the family properties as well as marvelous olive groves with thick trunks and beautiful green leafage which produce the very best quality olive oil and also orchards, mainly apple tries, which bear their abundant fruit during the summer mounts.
