Piattelli Winery

The Piattelli Winery is Located in Mendoza, Argentina The winery of Piattelli Vineyards is located in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo. Agrelo is located in the “First Zone.” Agrelo holds one of the few Controlled Denomination of Origin (D.O.C.) in the world for the Malbec varietal. This is the same location where the Piattelli family originally settled in the first half of the 20th century and started to give shape to their high quality wines. The Piattelli’s were one of the many Italian families that arrived from their country in search of a “land of promise”. They sought way to earn a living via the land they worked and the wine they produced, two well-established elements from their home land, Tuscany, Italy. The winery is surrounded by the Piattelli Vineyards. The Piattelli winery has been constructed in a Tuscan style, in order to honor the origin of our founders. Even though our winery’s style reflects the past, the production of our Argentinean wines utilizes both past and present. The combination of traditional methods and state-of-the-art technology aims at the formation of high quality wines. The current capacity is of 414,800 liters, distributed in stainless steel tanks, designed to maximize the contact of the must with the skin during the fermentation. The process of producing Piattelli wines is focused on treating grapes with great care as well as the strict control of every stage of vinification. Until the optimum maturity level is reached, the wines rest in French oak barrels in our underground cellar.
