Theirs is an impressive domaine including steep Grand Cru sites NW of Colmar, painstakingly acquired over four centuries (Philippe Blanck remembers being carried as a child - his pram was sold to help fund vineyard maintenance). This organic Gewürz is suffused with aromas of limes, lychees and rose petals. A white for spicy dishes.
