Lava Cap Winery is a family owned and operated winery in the beautiful Sierra Foothills of California.Our appellation is El Dorado and we produced 20,000 cases a year of premium red and white wines. Our winemaker and president is Thomas Jones, MS University of California, Davis Dept of Viticulture & Enology. Thomas handcrafts each vintage, producing elegant and complex wines that reflect the lovely terrior of our mountainous region. Thomas' brother Charlie is our Vineyard Manager and works the 90 acres we have in grape production. Lava Cap's tasting room is open everyday, 11am to 5 pm.
