The Williams family planted the first vineyards on what is now known as the Red Mountain Appellation in 1975. Since then, Kiona Vineyards and Winery has developed a world-wide reputation for releasing wines of extraordinary quality year after year. Few wineries can claim to have the historical consistency in quality that Kiona is known for. For their unyielding determination to produce world-class wines, founders John and Ann Williams were among the inductees of the Washington Wine Hall of Fame in only its second year in existence in 2007. Kiona's wines have been winning awards against higher-priced competitors for several decades; in fact, Son and Winemaker Scott Williams has placed two wines on Wine Spectator's prestigious "100 Best Wines of the Year" list. Even after growing grapes and making wine for over 30 years, our passionate pursuit of quality in all aspects of our business perseveres. We hope you enjoy drinking our wine as much as we enjoy making it.
