Elmo Pio, Importer - 1919 - 1996 Son to an Italian winemaker, Elmo Pio’s passion for wine was deeply rooted. As a boy, he hand filled bottles of his father’s wine, and sold them face to face. Elmo experienced first hand the importance of delivering quality. In the late 1960’s, Elmo drew upon his vast wine knowledge to select and import his own line of fine Italian wines, marketed by the man himself, in his trademark hat. Elmo’s commitment to quality lives on in the bottles that carry his image and name.
