Les terres de Maison Blanche sont foulées par l’homme depuis longtemps, fort longtemps, bien avant qu’elles ne soient connues sous ce nom. La voie gallo-romaine de Bordeaux les traversait, bordant une nécropole1, et conduisait à Lucaniacus, la toute proche villa du proconsul et poète Ausone dont, vraisemblablement, elles ressortissaient. Mille ans plus tard, à la fin du moyen-âge, elles dépendaient de la vaste seigneurie de Corbin qui s’étendait sur les paroisses de Saint Martin de Mazerat2, Saint Georges3 et Montagne, puis qui, au cours des siècles suivants, s’est lentement démantelée. En 1835, Bernard Constant, propriétaire et négociant à Libourne, acquiert une partie de ces terres et, en 1838, la partage entre ses enfants. Son fils Désiré reçoit Petit Corbin et des métairies voisines. A son tour, il morcelle l’ensemble pour ses enfants. Parmi eux, Antoine recueille le lot de La Marsale et Marie celui, voisin, dit de La Métairie du Château, au centre duquel elle fait construire une élégante maison de maître en pierres blanches. Maison Blanche est née.
