Château de Seguin in Bordeaux is part of the CHRIS-WINE Group. An indenpendent and family owned wine company. In 1985 Erling Carl, who was the founder of the Danish wine company CHRIS-WINE A/S, discovered Château de Seguin, thanks to the help from his friend Mr. Anthony Barton, the owner of Château Léoville-Barton and Château Langoa-Barton. Erling Carl bought the Château with adjoining 20 hectares of vines. He decided to renovate the entire estate, but first he introduced the first vintage, the 1986, which was an excellent vintage - then the renovation of Château itself began, followed by the vineyards, the vinification areas etc. The efforts of Erling Carl immediately paid off. After his death in 1991, his two sons Michael and Gert Carl took over the management of the estate. Today Château de Seguin is a renowned and modern wine producer. It controls 135 of hectares of vineyards in the Entre-Deux-Mers region in Bordeaux.
