Viña Casa Silva is engaged in a continual quest to produce the best possible wines. The Silva family works only in the Colchagua Valley and is committed to investing whatever is necessary to understand how to maximise the natural potential of the land. Although they produce wines from many different grape varieties, Viña Casa Silva has a particular reputation for unrivalled knowledge and understanding of Carmenère – the indigenous grape variety of Chile. Today Casa Silva is: -Chile's Most Awarded Winery of the 21st Century,according to the official VITIS magazine's analysis of national & international competitions since 2000. -Chile's Carmenere Specialist....the most awarded winery in the World for this grape.CS is also the only winery to have been invited by the Chile Government to develop the 1st ever Carmenere clone. -Chile's most advanced terroir specialist,following the 1st ever microterroir project undertaken in S.America(...& 2nd in the World) -The most family run Estate in Chile (5 generations since 1892),with many original,pre phylloxera vines dating back to 1912. -The Colchagua specialist....Chile's most awarded,premium valley.No other winery is focused so exclusively on Colchagua.
