Borgo Maragliano is situated at 450 metres above the sea level, on a natural terrace of the Langhe hills, in the heart of Loazzolo, a particular area crossed by the Marin, an onshore wind coming from the Mar Ligure which favours the maturation of the grapes, enhancing the aromas and the fragrances. The land around Loazzolo is characteristic for its geological formation, its typical marls and sandstones. Borgo Maragliano includes an area of 15 hectares of vineyards and the wine is vinified, bottled and packed by the members of the Galliano family who preserve a great respect for the traditions but at the same time make use of the most modern vinification techniques and methods with a new and efficient equipment. The wines are the result of a careful and meticulous labour and they are obtained from grapes of Moscato, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The indiscussed symbol and pride of the domaine Borgo Margliano is the Loazzolo Vendemmia Tardiva, obtained from a selected vineyard with a south exposition which everage yield in hectolitres is of 21 hl. per hectare. After a persevering labour in the vineyards and years of maturation and refinement in the cellar, it reaches the height of its fragrance and aromas and reveals in its taste a sincere peronality like the land in which it originates: Loazzolo.
