It all started in 7898 with Jerome Martinez "The muleteer" marketing the wines produced in the cellar of his home in Laguardia, but it was his daughter Lucia Martinez along with her husband Gregorio Santamaria who drives and modernizes the business. The entrepreneurial and innovative character is reflected in one of his nine sons, Angel Santamaria, who look over being also a member of the Board of the D.O.Ca Rioja parlicipating in drafting ifs rules.
