Founded in 1975, Bodega y Cavas de Weinert is located in Lujan de Cuyo, Argentina cradle of high quality wines. The building of old Spanish architecture, remnants of an old winery in the Mendoza Otero family until 1920, draws attention, inviting those who pass through it to know what keeps inside. Bernardo C. Weinert, founder and owner, could be defined as an entrepreneur. Born in a small German colony in southern Brazil, set up his story on the international transport business in South America. Fascinated by the world of wine, decided to start his own winery in Argentina with an unconditional philosophy: to produce high quality wines. Before embarking on this task, did an extensive study of Mendoza: its climate, soil, vines, and found in Lujan de Cuyo ideal for undertake. After an intensive restoration work in the building purchased in 1974, brought the latest technology in winemaking at that time and joined with acclaimed winemakers. At that time I believed all crazy, but time proved him right. After his first commercial crop in 1976, in 1977 occurred Weinert Malbec Estrella 1977, a prestigious wine tasters renowned for worldwide. Bernardo C. Weinert is a man whose business philosophy is simple: "while you have your own philosophy and keep for years, you're on track."
