Aurum Wines winery

Central Otago, New Zealand, is an area reknowned for its dramatic mountain and lake scenery. It has quickly established itself as a premium cool climate wine growing district. The climate is continental with hot summer days and cool summer nights - perfect for creating intense juice flavours while mantaining strong acid structure. Aurum Wines' two vineyards are located on the 45th Parallel and are some of the world's most southerly vineyards. Soils are silt loams sitting on 25-35 metres of gravels.
