This was a robust Syrah with a strong pepper flavor, almost overwhelming, with an oak-spice end. Fits well with a heavy meat sauce, but not much beyond that. The extreme flavors were overpowering, I understand that the 2008 version of this is much better. I look forward to trying it!! The price seems reasonable at around $11.99. Overall I will give it 2 glasses, we will wait to see what the 2008 holds! ... |
