Our cozy Casa Rural is situated in the hamlet of La Acea de la Borrega, approximately 10km from the small town of Valencia de Alcantara (Caceres). The property is located in a forest estate close to the centre of Acea, surrounded by pines and chestnut-trees, with views to the surrounding Sierra. The building is perfectly integrated to the landscape and is constructed with local slate. A calm and peaceful environment to rest and to enjoy all the attractions that the Region offers.The house has 3 comfortable double rooms and 1 twin room. All have ensuite bathroom, heating air conditioning and television.In addition, the house contains the following services and equipment: Communal lounge with chimney, television, library and board games. Dining room where we serve excellent breakfasts with products of the Region. Large garden with garden furniture. Private parking.Information about the region to help you plan your visits and excursions.The whole house is free of architectural barriers to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility and one of the rooms has been specially adapted.

GPS: 39 19 25 N - 7 13 53.97 WFrom Madrid: Take the ring road A40 from the airport and continue round until you find the A5 signposted Badajoz. Continue on the A5 until Trujillo, when you take the N521 to Caceres. From Caceres continue on the N521 to Valencia de Alcantara and Portugal. Go through Valencia de Alcantara and after approx. 1km, at kilometre 143, turn left on the CC-112, signposted to Alcorneo. Continue for 9km and turn left into Acea de la BorregaFrom Lisbon: Take the A1 Norte. The A1 is a toll road make sure you take a ticket, if you go through the automatic barrier without a ticket, they will fine you at the other end! At Junction 7. turn off towards Abrantes and Torres Novas on the A23. Turn off the A23 at the sign for Portalegre and Nisa, then follow the signs for Alpalhau and from Alpalhau to Castelo do Vide. Then follow signs to Marvao and Espanha. Cross the border on to the N521, at km. 143 turn right on the CC-112, signposted to Alcorneo. Continue for 9km and turn left into Acea de la Borrega.
