La Picota is a rural resort located amid wonderful natural landscapes, North of the Huelva mountain range, 70 km from Huelva and 85 km from the nearest beach, 95 km from Seville and 65 km from Portugal. The name picota refers to its location in the highest point of the region, which allows magnificent views of the area, including the red meanders of the River Tinto. We have made an earnest effort to provide you with a relaxing, quiet atmosphere where you can enjoy real rest. The resort has two buildings: the Casa de Piedra (Stone House) and the Casa Blanca (White House), which blend in with the surroundings and offer a total of 24 guest rooms (double, triple, quadruple and up to 6 people). All our serviced rooms have full en-suite bathrooms, wooden ceiling and an overall warm and relaxing atmosphere. In order to respect nature, the resort features solar panels to generate clean energy for electricity and hot water. We also have our own water wells. Our restaurant and cafe are open all day and offer home-made local food.The area is ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, trekking, horse riding, swimming, biking, etc. It is a safe place for children and there are many places of interest to visit nearby.
