Cortijo El Saltador in Lucainena de las Torres

Cortijo El Saltador is a large traditional Andalucian farmhouse close to the picturesque village of Lucainena de las Torres. It is part of an old railway line used by the mines, which was decommissioned in 1943, connecting the nearby village of Lucainena de las Torres with the port of Agua Amarga. El Saltador (the jumper), with 55 hectares of land, lies in the foothills of the Sierra Alhamilla - a spectacular and magical desert landscape.Making use of the existing original walls, the 12-20-person holiday centre was reconstructed between 2001 and 2003 with the energy and the enthusiasm of workers and volunteers from all over the world.El Saltador offers individuals and groups the opportunity of a peaceful stay in harmony with nature. It is a place where time and space can be found to enjoy silence, relaxation and self-reflection. Its isolated location allows for concentrated work away from everyday distractions.The house uses its own well water and electricity is supplied by a big solar system. It is a place of silence, reflection and relaxation in a beautiful setting close to nature.The guestrooms surround a light open courtyard. In the mainhouse there is a spacious kitchen area, an open outside eating space, a library, and several communal rooms to be used at your leisure. The smaller seminar room (30 sqare metres) is reached through a separate entrance at the main house. The larger independant seminar house (60 square metres) is located a short distance from the main house.
