BY BUS: There are, at least, 10 Bus Stations in Oporto. You can find all the Regional, National and International destinations possible, within the downtowns boundaries.The public transports network has available, approximately, 80 lines, which operate in all the metropolitan area, as well as the citys outskirts (councils of Maia, Matosinhos, Valongo, Gondomar, V. N. de Gaia, etc.).Adding to this, theres a very modern and recent Metro (Surface mini-train) which connects, mostly, the citys downtown to its boundaries.BY PLANE: Oportos International Airport (Francisco S de Carneiro) is the second biggest airport in the country and it is located at 13 km from Oportos downtown.It does all the major connections to the most important national international destinations and within the compound, you can find the Post Offices, Rent-a-cars, 24 hours exchange offices, a Tourism Office, bank Offices and a several shopping stores.To get to the citys downtown you can either get a taxi, a Bus (number 56), which operates every 20 minutes, or the Aerobus (direct line connecting the airport with the city centre and vice-versa)Theres an Aerobus departing arriving from at the airport every 30 minutes, from 07h00 to 19h00 and you can purchase the ticket on board. This ticket is valid in all public transports, on the same day of purchase.BY CAR: There are 5 main entrances exits from to Oporto, being 3 of them highways: A1 Direction South (Aveiro, Coimbra, Lisbon, Algarve, etc.).
