Set amongst entangling vineyards on the southern slopes of the main wine producing area of Madeira, a few kilometres west of Funchal, and just below the village of Estreito - the Quinta do Estreito was once the main wine producing estate in the area. The main house has been lovingly restored to become the Bacchus Gourmet Restaurant, the Vintage Bar (and the Library reading room on the top floor that affords breathtaking views). The hotel boasts 48 rooms of rustic, cosy accommodation - an idyllic getaway. A swimming pool and esplanade have been recently added.

After leaving the airport carry on, on the highway to Funchal. Pass the exits to Funchal, and continue above the bridge heading Ribeira Brava. Take the second exit to Estreito se Cmara se Lobos (nr.5). When reaching the crossing, turn right and continue climbing in the direction of Estreito de Cmara de Lobos. After around 5 minutes, in a left tight curve to the left, you will find the indication to Quinta do Estreito at your right. At the end of the road, turn left (already under the hotel) and you will find, again at your left, the main entrance of the hotel.
