Largo Tonnara Scopello,
Scopello,
Tonnara di Scopello is a historic estate from family heritage. It is a tuna fishery, a very charming example of industrial archaeology on the sea. This ancient monumental complex of buildings located around a small bay, is enclosed by old perimeter walls and overhung by a medieval tower. The landscape is particularly suggestive especially because some majestic cliffs jutting out of the sea close on the west the small bay, giving the blue sea the look of a natural swimming pool. It is possible to rent weekly the old tuna fishermens lodgings, all located in front of the sea, with private bathrooms and kitchens. Price vary according to the size of the lodging, to the number of sleeps and season. The place is also suitable for events, such as weddings, meetings, guided tours, teaching courses, film and advertising shootings. At the Tonnara there is a branch of a Diving centre whose scuba divers can lead guests to a submarine archaeological route or let visitors sail to the Natural Reserve of the Zingaro. The Tonnara is located in a very strategic position, as it is near to Segesta, Trapani, Erice, San Vito, Palermo, Marsala.
