This 220 hectare organic farm on the border of the Madonie Nature Park is set at the centre of a hilly area typical of this district. The U Baggiu (farmhouse) is enclosed by a courtyard, reminiscent of feudal times, when the centre of farm life was the main country house, a fortified construction to defend farming families and their crops. The old storehouses facing the courtyard have been carefully restored and are now pleasant guest rooms and apartments of various sizes, tastefully furnished and decorated in typical country style. There is a particularly beautiful view of the Madonie from the scenic veranda in front of the large dining room, with brick arches and stone walls, where guests can enjoy the delicious dishes prepared with local farm produce (mushrooms, chestnuts, wild vegetables, ricotta). The same panorama can be seen from the swimming pools (8 x 16 m. - open 15th June15 Sept ) sun-bathing area. Visits to nearby towns include the ancient city of Polizzi Generosa 15kms, Petralie, Sottana and Soprana with their monuments and noble villas. For nature lovers there are several nature itineraries in the Madonie Park and visitors must visit the giant holly trees at Piano Pomo. To reach the farm follow the country road 2kms from state highway 120, approximately 6kms from the Tremonzelli exit on the Palermo-Catania motorway.
