Hotel Il Granduca in Florence is a cozy hotel with 21 rooms, recently completely renovated, with the typical exterior of the citys buildings.When you enter the hotel the functional reception is right in front, leading to an elegant lobby, a suitable spot for reading a magazine, equipped with nineteenth century style couches which combine aesthetic taste with great comfort. The lobby is connected to a pretty parlor with green armchairs, where guests can invite their friends for a chat or a tea in complete serenity.The first floor also contains a bar and breakfast room which is spacious and light ensuring guests the best possible wake up.To meet the tastes of our increasing international and demanding costumers, Il Granduca proposes an original and plentiful breakfast buffet. During the summer breakfast is served in the garden, where guests can experience any even more pleasant way to wake up into contact with the cool morning air.The hotel is family run focusing highly on the relationship between guests and staff, always with an eye to those small details which raise the quality of our guests stays.In addition to the interior garden, there is a reservation system parking lot and a private garage with special rates. The Vola in bus shuttle takes around 20 minutes to get to Santa Maria Novella train station, which is 2 km from Hotel Il Granduca. At the end of Lungarno del Tempio the street turns right. Continue for Piazza Beccaria, go down all of Viale Gramsci, when you are in front of the English Cemetery turn right into Piazzale Donatello and (after around 20 meters) immediately left going along the square; Via Pier Capponi is at the end of Piazzale Donatello, 20 meters farther on is Il Granduca at no. 13.Coming from the north, exit at Firenze nord and follow the signs for the center and Viali di Circonvallazione leading to Fortezza da Basso. Take Viale Spartaco Lavagnini to Piazza della Libert. Drive along Piazza della Libert to the left towards Fiesole. When you leave Piazza della Libert, take Viale don Minzoni, the first street on the right is Via Pier Capponi, but you cannot turn into it because it is one way, continue for a few meters and take the first right (Via Leonardo da Vinci), go past Piazza Savonarola, Via dei Della Robbia and at the intersection with Via degli Artisti turn right and then right again into Via Pier Capponi. Hotel Il Granduca is 20 meters farther on at number 13.
